Construction Manager – Data Center Mission Critical

Responsibilities
- Support and represent client’s Construction Manager in design and construction of multi-phased data center project
- Assist client’s Construction Manager with designer, contractor, and vendor management
- Provide cost saving solutions, negotiate designer and contractor SOWs, contracts, and change orders
- Assist with developing capital project budgets and schedules including ROM construction cost estimates
- Support client’s Construction Manager with on-site oversight, QA/QC, commissioning and inspection process
- Support client’s equipment procurement and delivery process
- Provide weekly project status report (financial, schedule, QA/QC)
- Manage tenant improvement or retrofit work in a live data center environment
- Manage warranty work process for existing data center buildings
- Provide construction consulting services to operations team and other cross-functional departments
- Full time on-site presence and travel may be required
- Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent degree
- 8+ years’ experience in construction and project planning
- Data center development and construction experience
- Experience with ground-up construction and greenfield site development requirements
- Experience in construction management, schedule development, capital budget management, and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including fire protection regulations
- Negotiation experience and experience leading collaboration and problem solving efforts
- Experience with Primavera P6/MS Project, GoToMeeting/MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
